Join the Learning, Evaluation & Data (LEAD) Impact Group for a conversation with Dr. Matthew Soldner, National Center for Education Evaluation Commissioner and Chief Evaluation Officer at the U.S. Department of Education, following the release of the Department of Education’s first-ever learning agenda. As a follow up to the November 2021 learning session, Dr. Soldner will provide an update on the evaluation efforts of ED followed by a robust discussion of how philanthropy and federal government can better align when it comes to topics we care about – data, evaluation and learning.

This event is intended for members and other education grantmakers.

About the Speaker

Matt Soldner

Dr. Matt Soldner
National Center for Education Evaluation Commissioner and Chief Evaluation Officer
U.S Department of Education

Dr. Matthew Soldner has served as Commissioner of NCEE since 2018. In that role, Dr. Soldner also serves as the Department of Education’s Chief Evaluation Officer. Dr. Soldner’s expertise includes the design and implementation of complex, mixed-methods evaluations; innovative practices designed to improve student outcomes after high-school; postsecondary competency-based education; federal financial aid; and federal statistical policy and practice. His Ph.D. is from the University of Maryland’s College of Education.
