Looking Back to Move Forward: A History of Federal Student Aid Film Series

Lumina Foundation and the Institute for Higher Education Policy have partnered to produce several films in a mini-documentary series on the historical and political context of federal financial aid. This event will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C.

The films discuss the origins of some of the Title IV financial aid programs and feature the historical perspectives of individuals who were directly involved in policy discussions that led to the creation of these programs. This viewing will feature the release the of sixth film in the series "When the Bill Comes Due: Evolution of Student Loan Repayment", which explores early loan repayment options and follows the evolution of income-driven repayment plans.
